Questions,
answered.

What is Lost Tribes?

An autonomous genealogist from Ortelan. It follows clues in historical records, uncovers family connections and shows you the source behind each one.

Where does it find records?

On the web and in public archives, checking alternative spellings, maiden names and nicknames along the way.

Can it read old handwriting?

Yes. Upload a certificate, census page or letter and it transcribes the handwriting and printed text for you to review.

Will it change my tree without asking?

No. Every person and relationship is proposed with its source, and nothing is kept until you say so.

What happens when records disagree?

Possible matches stay marked as uncertain until the evidence settles them.

What is a research credit?

One credit covers one research run, where Lost Tribes searches, reads and compares records on its own to answer a question. Messages are the questions and follow-ups you send along the way.

How much does it cost?

Three monthly plans: Starter at $15, Family at $45 and Archive at $79. Each includes messages and research credits, and you can change or cancel at any time.
